Two international chains are joining Norman’s growing Classen Blvd. commercial district in South Norman.
Southlake Classen LLC purchased the 1.23 acre parcel directly south of Wendy’s restaurant in 2019 for $795,000.
In late 2022 Southlake Classen LLC divided the property and in April 2023 sold nearly 30,000 square feet of the property to DDP Norman Venture LLC for $594,000. DDP recently was granted a $450,000 building permit to construct a Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen restaurant.
Popeye’s, known for their cajun-inspired cuisine, current operates over 3,700 locations throughout the world with 10 OKC Metro locations. There are currently no Popeye’s restaurants operated in Norman.
Southlake Classen LLC retained the remaining 24,000 square feet on the southern portion of the site and has filed a $500,000 building permit to construct a Dunkin’ restaurant.
As Norman Development first reported in early 2022, Dunkin’ currently operates 2 locations in Norman: a drive thru only location at I-35 and Main Street, and a drive thru and walk-in restaurant at Porter Ave. and Robinson Ave.
Dunkin’ operates over 12,900 locations across 42 countries and is the second largest coffee chain trailing only to Starbucks.
