Dallas-based Velvet Taco has filed a building permit to bring their first location to Oklahoma.
Vaquero Norman Partners, LP purchased the building at 1440 W Lindsey from SAB One Inc. for $1.1M. The former McAlister’s Deli was most recently Slice House Pizzeria before closing in 2020.
The owners filed a $650,000 permit to renovate the building.
Velvet Taco uses a fast-casual model serving street tacos made fresh with each order. Locations also serve beer and cocktail selections.
The company currently operates locations in Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX; Houston, TX; and San Antonio, TX with a location in Lubbock, TX opening soon.
